Professor James Iorzua Ayatse is a distinguished Nigerian academic, visionary administrator, eminent biochemist, and revered traditional ruler. He reigns as the Tor Tiv V, the paramount ruler of the Tiv nation worldwide, and serves as the President of the Tiv Area Traditional Council and Chairman of the Benue State Council of Chiefs.

HRM ELAIGWU ODOGBO OBAGAJI JOHN
His Royal Majesty, Agaba’Idu Dr. Elaigwu Odogbo Obagaji John is the 5th Och’Idoma and the paramount traditional ruler of the Idoma Nation worldwide. Ascending the throne in December 2021 following the transition of his predecessor, Agaba’Idu Elias Ikoyi Obekpa, His Royal Majesty marks a progressive new era for the Idoma people—one that seamlessly harmonizes sacred cultural heritage, professional excellence, and spiritual leadership.
The Most Reverend William Amove Avenya is an eminent Nigerian Roman Catholic prelate and a transformative spiritual leader. Appointed by Pope Benedict XVI, he stands as the historic pioneer Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Gboko in Benue State. Over a distinguished career spanning more than four decades, Bishop Avenya has earned widespread reverence as one of North-Central Nigeria’s most influential religious voices, recognized equally for his pastoral wisdom, administrative excellence, and fearless advocacy for peace and human dignity.

With a public service career spanning over four decades, Dr. Akume has consistently demonstrated strategic leadership across the local, state, and federal tiers of government. Currently serving as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, he occupies a pivotal role in the administration, driving executive policy execution, institutional alignment, and national governance initiatives.
The Most Reverend Isaac Bundepuun Dugu is a distinguished Nigerian Roman Catholic prelate currently serving as the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Katsina-Ala in Benue State. Known for his extensive administrative expertise and profound pastoral commitment, Bishop Dugu is a prominent voice for peace, education, and humanitarian advocacy in North-Central Nigeria.
Samuel Ioraer Ortom is a distinguished Nigerian politician, businessman, administrator, and philanthropist who famously served as the 18th Governor of Benue State from 2015 to 2023. Born on January 5, 1963, in Gboko, Benue State, her academic journey began at NKST Primary School and Bristow Secondary School in her hometown. She went on to earn a Bachelor's degree from the University of Jos in 1983, followed by a Master's and a Ph.D. in Theatre Arts from the prestigious University of Ibadan.
Prof. Steve Torkuma Ugbah is a Nigerian academic, politician, diplomat, and public affairs expert from Benue State. He is widely known for his involvement in Benue politics, his academic career in the United States, and his advocacy for good governance and development in Benue State. He has served as a university professor, a gubernatorial candidate, a Nigerian ambassador, and a Federal Commissioner of the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).
Professor Ode Ojowu, OFR, stands as one of Benue State’s most brilliant economic minds and a towering figure in Nigerian public policy. Born in the agrarian landscape of Oju, he rose through sheer academic excellence, earning a First-Class Honours degree in Economics from Ahmadu Bello University before obtaining his doctorate from the University of Connecticut. He has served as a university professor, a gubernatorial candidate, a Nigerian ambassador, and a Federal Commissioner of the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).
Hon. Prince Solomon Wombo is a distinguished Nigerian politician, businessman, and community leader representing the Katsina-Ala, Ukum, and Logo Federal Constituency in the 10th National Assembly. Andrew Ayabam is a Nigerian tax administrator, revenue expert, and public servant who served as Chairman/Executive Chairman of the Benue State Internal Revenue Service (BIRS) under two different administrations.

This commitment ultimately propelled him to the zenith of his field as a Professor of Law and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN)—one of the highest and most revered distinctions within the Nigerian legal profession.

Born on December 30, 1947, in Otukpo, Benue State, Lawani built a distinguished reputation through his academic achievements, professional expertise in economics and hospitality management, and decades of service to Nigeria.

Mrs. Christie Ada Sam-Ode is a distinguished public figure, advocate, and community leader who serves as the wife of the Deputy Governor of Benue State. Deeply committed to the socio-economic advancement of her people, she has channeled her influence into impactful grassroots advocacy, with a particular focus on female empowerment, sustainable agriculture, and inclusive governance.
Dr. Eunice Erdoo Ortom stands as a distinguished figure in Nigerian public life, blending her expertise as a development administrator, humanitarian, gender advocate, and entrepreneur to drive systemic social change. Best known as the former First Lady of Benue State, her impact extends far beyond ceremonial duties. She has dedicated her life to uplifting vulnerable populations, championing gender equity, and fostering economic self-reliance across Nigeria.
Rt. Hon. Margaret Nwuese Icheen is a distinguished Nigerian politician, educationist, and sports administrator from Kwande Local Government Area of Benue State. She made history in 1999 when she became the first female Speaker of a State House of Assembly in Nigeria and Africa, serving as Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly during the Fourth Republic
